‘...O LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel, and that I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word.’ – 1 Kings 18:36
This is the heart cry of a servant leader.
Let it be known… When God reveals Himself, the servant leader responds in emboldened declaration of that reality to the world (Jn 1:29)… Let it be known.
I am Your servant… The servant is unceasingly about their Master’s business (Luke 12:37). Whatever the task, call, or responsibility they seek to honour and obey… I am Your servant.
At Your Word… It is the voice of the Master, not the inner voice of self or the outside voice of the crowd that the servant needs to be most attuned (Jn 10:27)… At Your Word.
Let these words be the meditations of our hearts, which become the prayers of our lips, and the actions of our service both on and off the platform.
